Who is who? Information about 'unknown' ministers
Serzh Sargsyan today appointed new ministers who are unknown to the public.
The new Minister of Agriculture, Ignati Arakelyan, held the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Yerevan Brandy Company from 2015 until his appointment.
Ashot Manukyan, the newly appointed Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, was General Manager of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant in recent years. He was Chief of Government Staff from 1998 to 1999 and Deputy Executive Director of the National Television of Armenia from 1999 to 2001. Later, he became Vice-President of the Council of Public Television and Radio Company of Armenia.
The new Minister of Transport and Communication, Vahan Martirosyan, was Chairman of the Board of Directors of GNC-ALFA" CJSC. He was appointed Chief Commercial Officer at ArmenTel CJSC in 2006.
Vardan Aramyan, Minister of Finances, was Deputy Minister of Finance, later Deputy Head of presidential administration. He worked in the Central Bank for many years.
Aramyan graduated from Yerevan State Institute of National Economy and Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
