Prime Minister instructs gas and electricity tariffs be reviewed (video)
For the first time in Prime Minister’s position, Karen Karapetyan today has conducted the Government sitting. At the beginning he made a statement, touching upon fight against corruption, “I instruct the State Revenue Committee (SRC) so that all the economic entities fulfill their tax obligations in a disciplined and unconditional way, the tax inspections are carried out only at economic entities bearing risks, and refrain from the SMEs as much as possible. All these activities must be carried out without hindering the business; no inspection must hinder the everyday work of businesses.” Premier also instructed the PSRC, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to review gas and electricity prices, “Maximally reduce the tariffs for socially vulnerable families, boost business, review tariffs especially for processing branches. All this mustn’t be done at the expense of state budget, but only at the expense of economic entities.”
