More than 100 people detained (video)
After dispersing rallies in support of “Sasna Tsrer” armed group in Sari Tagh and Khorenatsi Street by the police, more than 100 citizens were taken to the police station. Press secretary of the police Ashot Aharonyan informed “Interfax”. Aharonyan had difficulty in mentioning the concrete number of detainees. On July 29 the supporters of Sasna Dzrer (Daredevils of Sasoun) armed group, which seized Erebuni police station, held another rally at Liberty Square. After the rally they marched to Khorenatsi Street, where the police HQ is stationed, but on the way a part of the demonstrators diverted to Sari Tagh gathering there. The police dispersed the rallies both in Khorenatsi Street and Sari Tagh, using special measures, many citizens and journalists were beaten.
