Armed group wants to meet Minister of Health
Sasna Dzrer said in a Facebook post that the members of the armed group want to meet with the Minister of Health [Armen Muradyan]. “We shall release the doctors on condition that the Minister agrees to come to the seized police building and organize operations here,” the group said on the Facebook page. As reported earlier, last night the Sasna Dzrer armed group took four medical personnel hostage, who had come to the police compound to treat two of the group members that had been wounded in an overnight shootout with law enforcement officers. Speaking in a press conference on Wednesday, Alek Yenigomshyan said 'the armed group has two demands.' First, they say the doctors are not taken hostage, the group only wants them to be replaced by new doctors who will perform operations inside the building. Second, the group demands a meeting with lawmakers.
