Levon Barseghyan's son believes his father is illegally kept in police department
Although the police in Armenia state that Levon Barseghyan, Chairman of Asparez Journalists’ Club, was set from at 6։30a.m., his relatives do not have any information about his whereabouts. Barseghan’s son, Hayk, is convinced that the police are telling a lie saying that his father was released. Hayk says his father is kept in the Shengavit Police Department. “None of the detainees has been set free within 3 hours and I am sure that my father is still there [in a police station]. The police have spread disinformation,” Hayk said to A1+. Hayk thinks the police are trying to hide their illegal actions by making similar statements. Levon Barseghyan was detained at around 3.00 a.m. and was to be released within three hours by law.
