Ani Navasardyan, a member of the Founding Parliament movement, has been set free today after being kept in detention for three days. Navasardyan’s lawyer, Stepan Voskanyan, says criminal prosecution against Ani was discontinued because there was no evidence that she participated in mass disorders. Ani was detained on July 20 in the aftermath of clashes between the police and demonstrators in Khorenatsi Street. Before that she posed preconditions to the law enforcement and demanded that they pass food to the gunmen. Ani is the cousin of Smbat Barseghyan, one of the members of the Sasna Dzrer armed group.
