Cousin of one of the gunmen arrested
Yesterday activist of the Founding Parliament Ani Navasardyan was arrested on suspicion of instigating mass disorders. Advocate Stepan Voskanyan told “A1+” that Ani refused to give testimony; she only showed injuries on her body and told how she got injuries. Term of Ani’s arrest expires in two days. The preliminary investigation body must either apply to the Court in order to choose detention as a precautionary measure or release her. Ani Navasardyan was very active during the rally organized in Khorenatsi street. She set conditions for transferring food to the gunmen, who seized the police station. On that very day there were clashes and 51 people were taken to the hospital. Ani Navasardyan is a cousin of Smbat Barseghyan, one of the members of the Sasna Dzrer group occupying the police building.
