Criminal case instituted on seizure of police station
A criminal case has been instituted in the NSS Investigative department on seizure of Erebuni police station by Sasna Dzrer (Daredevils of Sasoun) group on July 17. Head of press center of the NSS Samson Galstyan informed “A1+”. Head of the NSS press center didn’t mention the articles under which the criminal case was instituted. According to the press releases, the criminal case was instituted under Article 219, occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication, and Article 235, illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices. To remind, on July 17, members of the group calling itself Sasna Dzrer (Daredevils of Sasun) stormed a police building in Yerevan’s Erebuni district, killing policeman Arthur Vanoyan and taking several others hostage. Four other policemen and one of the participants of the attack were wounded. At the moment there are 2 hostages; RA Deputy Police Chief Vardan Yeghiazaryan and Yerevan Deputy Police Chief Valeri Osipyan. After opening a press center, according to the agreement, they will also be released.
