Karo Yeghnukyan placed under two months' pre-trial detention
A Yerevan court has to put Karo Yeghnukyan, a member of the Founding Parliament movement, in custody for two months. Yeghnukyan’s lawyer, Tigran Hayrapetyan, told A1+ that the court did not take into account their suggestions and did not agree to release him on bail. Yeghnukyan was charged under Articles 218 and 219 of the Criminal Code for his support in procurement, transportation of illegal weapons, seizure of buildings, transportation or communication facilities which implies prison sentences of up to 15 years.
