Levon Ter-Petrosyan has formed alliance with Serzh Sargsyan - Nikol Pashinyan (video)
Armenian lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan is now making a statement in Khorenatsi Street. Addressing the crowd gathered there Pashinyan said he had read all their letters addressed to him. “There were so many of them that I could not answer all of them. In reply to them I have come here to be with you. Now I say here that I serve the Republic of Armenia, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and, most importantly, the people of Armenia. And whatever people decide, I am obliged to carry out that decision on condition that it is clear and unambiguous, visible and beyond doubt,” he said. Then he Pashinyan spoke about the events that occurred on Friday. “The country’s first President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan today made a statement - a very strange statement. Speaking about the attack on a police station in Yerevan, he said he found it meaningless to analyze the causes of the attack. I would not be surprised if the statement was made by a first-year student majoring in Political Science, but it was strange to hear it from the country’s first president. In fact, he [Ter-Petrosyan] says, let the patient die and we shall determine the cause of his death after an autopsy. I think it was a shameful statement. Didn’t he understand what he was saying, all these nuances? I think he did,” Pashinyan continued. “When Levon Ter-Petrosyan says there is no need to analyze this situation now, I think he wants to say that people need not conclude that Serzh Sargsyan should step down immediately. You may wonder why he said such things. The reason is that Levon Ter-Petrosyan has formed an alliance with Serzh Sargsyan in order to implement a plan in view of the Karabakh issue, which is a shameful and humiliating solution. Why does Levon Ter-Petrosyan do it? In addition to geopolitical reasons there are also personal reasons. He wants to help Serzh Sargsyan to organize the return of liberated territories and say that he was right in his time when he spoke about those disputable territories. This is a shameful approach. There cannot be any talk about these territories at present when Aliyev is swaggering about Armenia. This means talking about the capitulation of Armenia and NKR. The Armenian people should do everything to avoid it. This is the first question in the political arena.”
