There was nothing substantial in the statement made by Serzh Sargsyan, says Alek Yenigomshyan, a member of the Founding Parliament movement. In a live broadcast of RFE/RL's Armenian service (Azatutyun.am), Mr Yenigomshyan said Sargsyan’s statement was not appropriate for the head of a country in crisis. “We are in deep crisis which is felt in all sectors,” he said. After Serzh Sargsyan’s statement Mr Yenigomshyan contacted the members of Sasna Dzrer group. He is sure that they will not listen to Serzh Sargsyan. “I cannot speak in their name, but I am convinced that his approach is inadmissible for them and they will not agree to it.” Mr Yenigomshyan considers it strange that Serzh Sargsyan decided to speak today after a six-day silence. It is even more surprising that Armenia’s first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan spoke about the attack immediately after Serzh Sargsyan. “This gives rise to contemplations.” He confirmed that negotiations are now being conducted by Vitali Balasanyan, a participant to the Artsakh war, but refrained from giving more details.
