We did not agree the release of one of the hostages with Jirayr Sefilyan, we decided to do it ourselves,” Pavel Manukyan, one of the armed individuals that still control a police station in Yerevan which they seized yesterday morning, said to A1+. He says they did not eat anything yesterday and intend to continue in the same way until the end. He says ‘the end usually differs: it is either victory or death.’ When asked who the freed hostage was, Pavel Manukyan turned to deputy police chief, Valery Osipyan, asking “Wht was his name?” “Aramayis,” Osipyan was heard saying. Speaking about the health condition of the deputy police chief, Mr Manukyan said he 'is in good mood.' An armed group calling itself Sasna Dzrer (Daredevils of Sasoun) attacked a police station in Yerevan on Sunday morning, taking several policemen hostage. The group demands the release of its leader Jirayr Sefilyan who was arrested last month on charges of illegal weapon possession and trafficking, and resignation of Serzh Sargsyan.
