Anna's Life – a film by Georgian film director Nino Basilia – will be shown in Yerevan within the framework of the 13th Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The film is included in the “International Feature Competition” competition sections with another 11 films. Speaking about the message of the film, Nino Basilia said, “You should never lose hope when meeting difficulties, you should fight and move ahead. I have been disappointed many times in my life and every time I started from scratch. This is the message of the film - never give up!” Nino Basilia is also the author of several novels, films and TV serials. In order to become a filmmaker she left for Russia where she attended advanced courses for screenwriters and directors. She has made several documentary films and staged six performances. Asked whether she was familiar with the Armenian cinematography, the Georgian director said, “Yes, I have watched several films but I cannot name them because of my bad memory.” Then she remembered that she had seen a film by Parajanov. Nino Basilia is delighted by the hospitality of Armenians. “I am very happy to be here,” she said at the end of the press conference.
