The bodies of four Armenians were found in Armenian-populated Vachian village in Akhalkalak, Georgia, Hetq.am reports. Ofelya Kochotyan, 37, with her three children – Seryozha, 5, Asia, 16 and Armine, 18, was found dead in her home by the neighbours. The father of the family is doing seasonal work in Russia. Though no details about the circumstances of the death are reported, Georgian Rustavi 2 TV said they died two days ago: the mother and her two daughters were beaten by a blunt instrument and the boy was strangled. Talking to Hetq.am, one of the villagers, who wished to remain anonymous, said the Kachotyans were an ordinary, modest family who had a median income. The father did seasonal work abroad and the wife and children were engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. Local law enforcement has yet to point to any motive for the murders.
