Minister to Prime Minister: “Do we have to report on what we do all day long?”

Today the Government has provided AMD 41 million 746 thousands to Shirak regional administration for the restoration of buildings damaged in floods in Artik community and support to the residents. According to the plan, AMD 22 million 350 thousands will be provided for the restoration of buildings, AMD 16 million 965 thousands will be spent on cleaning of gullies, AMD 2 million 430 thousand will be spent on elimination of other agricultural damages. “Normal course of activities has been mainly restored in Artik. The damaged gully has also been restored. Water supply has been restored in the city, except a small part, but in that area the Municipality is supplying water through special rubber tubes. 8-10 families don’t have electricity, but the process is underway. The representatives of the Ministry are working on the spot. The Deputy Minister will stay there until the end of the activities.” Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan complained that there isn’t appropriate report on the activities, which have been carried out, which becomes a reason for speculations. The Minister opposed, “Mr Prime Minister, you came on next day after the incident, but I was there all the night. Activities have been carried out every day. Do we have to report on what we do all day long?” opposed Davit Lokyan. Prime Minister listened, all the same, he insisted that it should be presented what activities have been carried out. He says that it will ensure transparency of the process.
