Paris is ready to provide a platform for new talks over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said on June 29 after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Azatutyun.am reports. The latter went to Paris on Tuesday to discuss a number of issues with the French side, including the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. “Mr Lavrov briefed us on the results of the St. Petersburg-hosted meeting of the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan. I reminded him that we are ready to provide a platform for new talks,” the French FM said. Last week, Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Aurelia Bouchez said as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair country France is ready to organize and host the next meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. However, neither Yerevan, nor Baku responded to the proposal.
