Yerevan-Istanbul flights have not been cancelled following Tuesday’s terrorist attack on Ataturk international airport in the Turkish capital, that left 36 dead and some 147 injured at the airport. “Zvartnots airport operates flights according to the fixed schedule. All flights were operated as usual,” Zvartnots press secretary Gevorg Abrahamyan told A1+. Armine Sargsyan, a representative of AtlasGlobal Company, said, “There is a Yerevan-Istanbul flight scheduled for 5.20 a.m. As far as we know the flight will be carried out. All flights from and to Istanbul will be restored during the day,” she said. A triple suicide bombing at Istanbul's main international airport on Tuesday night has left 36 dead and as many as 150 injured in a suspected Isil attack. The bombers detonated explosive vests in the arrivals hall of Ataturk airport. They had been trying to pass through X-ray machines when they were stopped by Turkish security officials. When they began shooting with AK-47 rifles, the officers returned fire. A police officer tried to wrestle one of the gunmen to the ground before he blew himself up in a bombing coordinated with two other suspects.
