Upper Lars checkpoint to remain closed for a day or two
The Upper Lars checkpoint will be closed for a day or two because of the latest rockfall, the Emergency Management Agency of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. The temporary closure of the checkpoint has created obstacles for the Armenian side connected with the exports of fruit and vegetables. The Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia says that Spayka Company has leased three ferries for the uninterrupted export of Armenian products, and shipment will be carried out from the Poti Sea Port in Georgia to and from the Novorossiysk Sea Port in Russia.
