ANOC to celebrate Olympic Day
The National Olympic Committee of Armenia will celebrate Olympic Day under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee, informs the ANOC press service. Traditionally this year the NOC of Armenia is also celebrating Olympic Day. This year the National Federations will stage demonstrative performances and other sporting and cultural events. Olympic Day will be celebrated at Northern Avenue on June 26, 6:00pm. Olympic Day was celebrated for the first time on June 23, 1948. That time Sigfrid Edstrom was the president of the IOC and he called on the youth to unite around the Olympic ideals.
