Levon Barseghyan, President of Gyumri-based Asbarez Journalists' Club and an opposition member of the Council of Elders in Gyumri, says unknown persons have been calling on Gyumri residents these days and ordering them not to dry their clothes outside or look out of the windows during the visit of Pope Francis. Talking to A1+, Mr Barseghyan said these people have been visiting residents who live in the central streets. “They are making fools of themselves! The level of their stupidity has reached such a level that they drop in apartments and houses without introduction and order people in a harsh voice how they should live and move in their own homes,” Mr Barseghyan said adding that many middle-aged and elderly people, who lived in the Soviet era, obey this order out of fear. Pope Francis is due to arrive in Armenia on June 24.
