Hripsime Khurshudyan temporarily suspended

Hripsime Khurshudyan, member of Armenian women's weightlifting team, has appeared in the list of the athletes temporarily suspended by the International Weightlifting Federation. As the official website of the International Weightlifting Federation informs, doping test revealed stanozolol in the blood of the Armenian athlete during Olympic Games 2008. Hripsime Khurshudyan has been suspended and cannot take part in the upcoming competitions. Head of the Anti-Doping Agency of Armenia, Professor Areg Hovhannisyan told “A1+” that the final decision will be made by the International Olympic Committee and the International Weightlifting Federation after examining the case. The deadline is July 17, after which it will be known whether Hripsime Khurshudyan will take part in Rio 2016 Olympics or not.
