Azat Arshakyan, an ex-member of Armenia's Supreme Council, considers the EEU to be just a club, which has several member states, “There are leaders of some states in our Eurasian club, who haven’t been changed for many years. But, in our country, fortunately, the institute of the president, the main corruptor, was removed by Constitution,” he highlighted. At present, when Prime Minister declared fight against corruption, Mr Arshakyan offers the Armenians to start a new movement, “Fight against corruption means making the country democratic. There must be scandals, resignations. We have foreign base in our country, the Russian troops, which can interfere in our affairs. It is also the result of corruption.” The ex-member of Armenia's Supreme Council doesn’t believe that the head of the Government is able to fight corruption. “Prime Minister is one of the main corruptors of Armenia. He cannot fight corruption. He must resign and it will be the beginning of the fight. It isn’t possible that the country is getting poorer, but Prime Minister is getting richer,” noted Mr Arshakyan. He also adds that Europe periodically provides money to Armenia for fighting corruption and other negative phenomena. “World gives us money, but it is given to the same corruptors. It means they give cheese to mice and tell to eat.” Mr Arshakyan hopes that new “perestroika” will kick off in the Eurasian region, and that we will leave all the unions imposed on us.
