Kokobelyan: MoD arrests are recent worst news (video)
The Four-day war revealed all the existing problems, the NA lawmaker Khachatur Kokobelyan told the journalists, commenting on yesterday’s arrests of three officials of the Ministry of Defense. “Fight against corruption, criminal acts, here we are talking about the corruption relating to the state security. Corruption acts aren’t personal, it is a systematic phenomenon,” he noted. The lawmaker adds, “I think it is recent worst news for the Armenian society. I mean the fact, that corruption case was registered at the Armaments Department of the Ministry of Defense.” In reply to the question why these cases have been revealed only now, whether they didn’t exist in the past, he noted, “It is a very right question. I regret to say that they are revealed only now. For me, as the RA citizen, there is nothing more painful than corruption cases at the Armaments Department.”
