The Armenian Parliament voted in favour of a legislative measure by Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Armenia that proposes amending the country’s Labour Code. Legislative changes were passed passed by 106 votes to 0. The bill envisages employment guarantees for volunteers who were on the Karabakh frontline during and after the April clashes. Republican lawmaker Hakob Hakobyan announced that the labour rights of all volunteers had been honoured and guaranteed, in some cases employers even paid them more after their return from Karabakh. The need for the amendments in the Labour Code arose after last month's four-day war in  Karabakh when hundreds of volunteers from all parts of Armenia left for the Karabakh frontlines to reinforce regular troops. Later, it was reported that some had encountered problems with employers upon their return. The Armenian legislature also voted for the bill postponing the switchover to the digital radio broadcasting until July 2018.
