THE ORGANIZATION FOR DEFENCE OF LIBERATED TERRITORIES PROTECTS THE RIGHTS OF DEPORTED ARMENIANS

Public Organization for Defense of Liberated Territories convened a round table Friday to discuss the rights of persons, who deported from Armenian regions of Artsakh and Nakhichevan, annexed by Azerbaijan. 30 representatives of organizations, engaged in human rights and refugee-related problems, as well as public activists and Members of Parliament gathered around the table.

They issued a statement calling Nagorno-Karabakhi and Armenian authorities:

1) to protect the interests of all deported Armenians in the course of negotiations;

2) to protect consistently the rights of Armenians throughout Gardamank and other territories of Nagorno- and Plain- Karabakh, annexed by Azerbaijan;

3) to include Nakhichevan into package of Armenian-Azerbaijani relationship settlement.

The decision to take measures for the coordination of political and juridical protection of refugees was made.

The participants of the round table addressed a telegram to Russian Federation leadership concerning anti-Armenian actions, taken place in Russia’s region of Krasnodar.
