Head of HAK faction, US Ambassador to Armenia meet in Yerevan
On May 6, Vice-Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and head of the HAK faction, Levon Zurabyan, had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills. The interlocutors discussed issues related to the drafting of Armenia’s new election law and the need for ensuring the legitimacy of electoral processes in Armenia. Both men stressed the need for accord between Armenian authorities, opposition forces and civil society over effective mechanisms for supervising electoral processes in Armenia. The sides also discussed the diplomatic process related to the Karabakh conflict.
