Ruben Hakhverdyan: Commission should be set up to determine how much money officials stole from people (video)
"I think that Turks are preparing for a large-scale war" renowned singer and composer Ruben Hakhverdyan said in an interview with A1+. In the current situation, he says, it is necessary to create a special commission that will be able to answer all questions. “We want to know how much money our officials, starting from Serzh Sagsyan, General Seyran Ohanyan and others, have in offshore zones,” the singer said. He doubts the credibility of statements according to which Armenia does not have money to buy weapons. “Some say there is no money to buy firearms and even collect AMD 500 in schools. Others say we have weapons but we have hidden them to use during the war. I believe neither of them.” Mr Hakhverdyan says the four-day war spoke about many important things; it showed that victory has only one owner. “The war was won not by generals but by soldiers and ordinary citizens. It has awakened in people the instinct to defend their homeland because courage of the truth is as important as the orders given on the battlefield,” he said.
