Artsakh Ombudsman tenders his resignation
Ombudsman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Yuri Hayrapetyan, has handed in his resignation, NKR Ombudsman’s Press Office reports. Hayrapetyan reportedly intended to quit office still in the beginning of the year, but delayed his resignation as he was completing his report for 2015. The NKR Ombudsman thanked all his colleagues for joint work and expressed hope that human rights and fundamental freedoms will remain as the highest values in the country and their protection will be a key responsibility for the state and society.
