Vladimir Akopian among leaders at Dubai Open
Armenian chess player Vladimir Akopian continues his victories Dubai Open Chess Tournament. After seven rounds, the Armenian GM has scored 6 points to lead the standings with three other chess players. On Monday, April 18, Akopian will face his main contender, English GM Gawain Jones Armenia’s Gabriel Sargsyan is just one point behind the leaders whil Zaven Andreasyan comes 35th with 4,5 points. The participants are vying for the prize fund in the amount of US$ 50,000, with US$ 13,000 reserved for the winner.
