Although the situation along the Line of Contact between Azerbaijani and Karabakh armed forces is relatively calm following the recent flare-up of deadly fighting in the Karabakh conflict zone, the enemy’s steps can never be predicted. Numerous freedom fighters and volunteers continue to protect our borders with soldiers. “We were able to stop the enemy’s aggression of the past several days. However, assessing the current situation and the possible developments in the future I think we are still useful here because we have gathered here the cream of our nation that we had some 20-25 years ago who used to say still during the tenure of Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan, ‘Our last battle is still to come…’” said Armen Sargsyan, a member of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union.
