Gabriel Sargsyan is 10th in rapid chess
Armenian chess players finished their performances at the rapid chess tournament held within the frames of Elite Mind Games 2016 in China. Alas, our chess players performed unsuccessfully on the second day of the competition. Grandmaster Gabriel Sargsyan scored only 1.5 points during the last three rounds of the men’s tournament. Another chess player Sergey Movsisyan lost all the games. As a result Gabriel Sargsyan with 3.5 points took the 10th place among 16 participants and Sergey Movsisyan concluded the standings with 1.5 points. Lilith Mkrtchyan also lost the last three rounds in the women’s tournament. Like Sergey Movsisyan she also scored 1.5 points and took the 16th place. During the upcoming three days they will take part in blitz chess tournament and will hold 30 games. At the end of the mind games the chess players will compete in Basque chess tournament.
