Homeless family receives flat (video)
The small house buried in smoke and soot resembled a small kiosk rather than a cottage. For many years, a young couple lived there with their three minor children. The terrible housing conditions of the family attracted the attention of journalists and visiting guests, becoming a sort of a “visiting card” of Gyumri city. The money derived from the fundraising efforts of Tereza Mkhitaryan was spent to buying a flat for the young family. The rundown cottage was pulled down and the wood was given to homeless families to use as firewood. Details are available in the video of Shirak Centre NGO
