Interpol is searching for Russian citizen, judoka Arthur Kroyan for not serving in the Armenian Army. This judoka was an Armenian citizen for only a year without refusing the Russian citizenship. He must have represented Armenia at Judo World Championship 2010 in Turkey. Before leaving he was demanded to get registered with the military authorities in order to get the round exit stamp in the passport. The judoka refuses to get registered with the military authorities of Armenia. Then he returns to Russia, Samara Oblast, Privolzhe in order to serve in the Russian armed forces, “After a year we learnt that he is wanted.” While being searched for by Interpol for not serving in the Armenian Army, the athlete was already serving in the Russian armed forces not being aware of anything. Kroyan tried to refuse the Armenian passport; he went to the consulate of the Armenian Embassy in Moscow. He also turned to Human Rights Defender. The Ombudsman also warned that he must serve. He learnt at Samara Airport that he was wanted. The employees of the airport didn’t hand over him to the law enforcement authorities; they only warned that the Armenian law enforcement officers were interested in him. He even cannot visit the grave of his deceased father, as no state body in Armenia is interested in this case, and Vardges Kroyan says that the Russian Embassy also doesn’t intervene in this case. He wants only one thing- to remove the search instituted against her grandson. More on the video
