HHK confirms Arman Tatoyan as its candidate for Ombudsman
In its February 5 sitting, the parliamentary faction of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) decided to nominate Deputy Justice Minister Arman Tatoyan as the next ombudsman. After the sitting, Tatoyan said his candidacy was announced by Hovhannes Sahakyan, an HHK lawmaker, Chairman of the NA Stanfding Committee on State and Legal Affairs. The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has nominated Makar Yeghiazaryan. The Country of Law Party (OEK) will support Zaruhi Potsnjyan. The Armenian National Congress (HAK) said it would not participate in the process, though Levon Zurabyan said he supports Potsnjyan’s candidacy. Aghvan Vardanyan from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun also promised his support for Postanjyan.
