Simon Martirosyan wins little bronze medal
Armenian weightlifters have won the second medal in the World Weightlifting Championship ongoing in Houston. Our weightlifter Simon Martirosyan took the 5th place with the result of 402kg at 105 kg weight division. Our weightlifter won a little bronze medal at the snatch by lifting 186 kg barbell. Simon Martirosyan failed at the clean and jerk, consequently he wasn’t able to fight for a big medal. To note, at the same weight division our compatriot Davit Bejanyan representing Russia took the 2nd place with the 411 kg result. To remind, at the 77 kg weight division our weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan also won a little bronze medal at the snatch.
