Members of the united headquarters of the New Armenia Public Salvation Front announce that attempts are being made to keep them from saying “No” to the constitutional amendments. They say the authorities are using all levers to leave them without their supporters. Martiros Hakobyan, a representative of the Vardenis-based office of the “No” camp, says all his acquaintances are being threatened and intimidated. “I have hold meetings in different villages and after each meeting I heard that the people I had met with were intimidated later and warned to stay away from me,” he said. Mr Hakobyan says the operations are orchestrated by the deputy head of the Gavar Police Division who, in turn, receives instructions from the National Security Service.
