The “Yes” and “No” TV project today started its campaign from the village of Yeghegnut in Armavir marz (province). Taking to Vaghinak Shushanyan, a representative of the “No” camp, a young man said they do not pin hopes on the opposition or the authorities. “Which of them has ever done anything for our people? Neither the authorities, nor the opposition care about our people,” he said. “All these talks are in vain. The authorities will do whatever they want,” he added. Vaghinak Shushanyan advised him not to obey anyone. “If we disobey them, they will detain us,” said the young man. “How can they detain 3 million people? You do not do anything to improve the situation, you do not demand anything. Do not allow them [the authorities] to do whatever they want to,” Shushanyan said in reply. Azat Arshakyan, another member of the “No” camp, reminded Yeghegnut residents of the promises given by the authorities. “Instead of doubling the property of ordinary people they have deepened poverty,” he stressed.
