Chess: Armenia needs only victory in Armenia-Russia game
Armenia’s men’s team needs only victory in today’s game with Russia at European team chess championship. During yesterday’s Round 7 game our men’s team took a 3:1victory over Poland, scored 10 points. Today our team needs only victory in order to continue struggle for medals. In Round 7 game Armenia’s women’s team faced Azerbaijan. At first our chess players were leading with 2:1 score (Lilit Mkrtchyan had won her game, and Lilit Galoyan and Maria Kursova drew their games). But the leader of our team Elina Danielyan lost her game because of the second gross mistake. In the end, Armenia’s women’s team scored 8 points and left the fight for medals. In today’s Round 8 game our team will face Austria.
