How Sos Sargsyan encouraged actors behind the scenes (video)
Today is the birthday of actor of Armenian cinema and theater, People’s Artist of the Soviet Union Sos Sargsyan. Today he would turn 86. Sos Sargsyan was born on October 24, 1929 in the city of Stepanavan. In 1991 Sos Sargsyan founded the Hamazgayin State Theater. Every day the actors of the theater feel the need for the well-known actor: “Before the play he used to be behind the scenes and to say ‘ну орлы’, we lack it,” actor Karo Balyan recalls the words of Sos Sargsyan. According to his words, Sos Sargsyan showed individual approach towards each actor. Actor Varsham Gevorgyan recalls that every day Sos Sargsyan taught them humanism and reminded that there is nothing impossible. Sos Sargsyan appeared in more than 40 movies. He died two years ago on September 26 without seeing the building of Hamazgayin Theater. The theater operates in Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography.
