As our correspondent informs, short time ago during his speech the Armenian National Congress (the HAK) faction head Levon Zurabyan insisted on his statement: “Gagik Harutyunyan is the person, who has been promised to be given the position of the president in the new Constitution and forgetting his main mission, that is the President of the Constitutional Court and the protector of the provisions of the Constitution, he has also buckled down to the destruction of that system of the Constitution,” said the RA NA Armenian National Congress (the HAK) faction head Levon Zurabyan today during the discussions on the text of the new Constitution while touching upon the reactions to his statement made last Friday. To remind, on October 9, during the NA briefings the HAK faction head said, “The constitutional amendments have few supporters. Among those few are the ruling party headed by Serzh Sargsyan, it is the constitutional committee formed by him and headed by Gagik Harutyunyan, whose only work was to bribe the Venice Commission, he was engaged in lobbying, and we have proofs.” To remind, yesterday the RA General Prosecutor’s Office informed that the General Prosecutor’s Office had forwarded the material published in the media about lawmaker Levon Zurabyan’s statement regarding the bribing of the Venice Commission to the General Department on Combating Organized Crime of the RA Police for further inspection.
