When will constitutional changes be sensless? Gagik Harutyunyan explains
Chairman of the State Commission on Constitutional Reform, Gagik Harutyunyan, today told media that the Commission suspended its activities on Thursday connected with the start of the campaign. When reminded that the Transparency International Anticorruption Center has fears that Gagik Harutyunyan is experiencing a conflict of interests, the latter said, “It does not and cannot have fears because the specialized commission has completed its work.” Answering the allegations that the new constitution was drafted by him, Mr Harutyunyan said, “It was a product of team work. I deal with the Constitution every day.” In reply to a journalist’s observation that the two former presidents have concerns about the new text drafted by him, Gagik Harutyunyan said, “People will give their assessment.”
