Raffi Hovannisian: Dear Vardan, the draft has despicable political aim
Founding Leader of the Heritage Party, Raffi Hovannisian today joined the army of millions of Armenians to say “no” to the new constitution proposed by the non-elected candidate [Serzh Sargsyan]. “Condemning the irony and arbitrariness towards the Organic Law, our people and their dignity, and trusting the imperative “A joint agenda and a joint square,” Mr Hovannisian allocated all resources of the institutions he founded to the creation of a free, sovereign and constitutional Armenia, and first of all to the “New Armenia” front and “You Won’t Pass It” pressure group. “Only by combining efforts and through an unselfish and consistent struggle can we reject this illegal, arrogant initiative which aims to slide the Republic of Armenia into a one-party system. December 6 must become a decisive day of building a new Armenia,” Raffi Hovannisian said.
