Do not detain him: Valeri Osipyan tells police officers to release Aram Manukyan
A large number of police officers have gathered on Baghramyan Avenue where the pressure group “You Won’t Pass It” is holding a demo against the planned constitutional amendments. Police forces have torn down the poster stuck by the protesters on the NA gates. Also, they have forcibly detained about a dozen citizens. There were elderly people among the detainees. Policemen were also trying to force opposition lawmaker Aram Manukyan into a police vehicle but the Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Valeri Osipyan, who was standing a few steps away, saw it and shouted, “Do not detain him…”
