Armenian Defense Ministry: Azeri attempt to violate state border
One of the divisions of the Azerbaijani armed forces stationed in Nakhichevan attempted to violate the state border with Armenia at about 10.30pm, October 1. The incident took place at the south-western sector of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in the direction of Yeraskh, the Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement. The Armenian side was quick to spot the advance net of the Azerbaijani forces between the military positions of the two countries. The enemy retreated as a result of exchange of fire. The Ministry of Defense warns that it will punish strictly any attempt to escalate the situation on the border in the direction of Nakhichevan.
