Residential building for young schools opened in Yerevan

RA President Serzh Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yerevan State University (YSU) Alumni Association, attended today the official solemn opening ceremony of a multi-functional and multi-unit residential building which has been constructed in Yerevan’s Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative District within the frames of YSU Alumni Association NGO’s “Affordable Apartments for Young Scientists and Members of Creative Unions” social housing program. Armenia’s president toured the residential complex, visited apartments of beneficiaries, familiarized himself with the works done and housnig conditions. The aforementioned program has allowed 291 beneficiaries to acquire an apartment. The apartments of the modernly designed multifunctional-multiunit residential complex, which is loctaed on 8 and 8/1 Paruyr Sevak Street, have been alloted to the young specialists of the above-mentioned target groups at a much lower price than the current market prices. The plot allocated for the construction and service of the multiunit building occupies a total area of 9800 sq. m. The residential complex is comprised of two subsidiary buildings. The beneficiaries have received fully-renovated apartments. The total construction area is 38846 sq. m. The adjacent area with a total space of about 7110 sq. m has been fully improved, new communication systems have been installed and landscaping works have been carried out. The building is equipped with an outdoor lighting system. The total amount of the housing program equals to 5.844.049.904 AMD. During the implementation of the program more than 800 jobs were created. After the solemn house-warming ceremony of Zeytun 1 residential complex, the Armenian president also visited the nearby construction site of Zeytun 2 complex, and familiarized himself with the ongoing works.
