Turkish singer: We should stand up and fight (video)
Germany-based Turkish singer Leman Stehn will give a concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall on September 24. She expects to see warm audience with big hearts in Armenia. The singer got acquainted with the Armenian music culture during the years of studies and understood that culture knows no borders and nationality. “I got acquainted with Kevork Tavityan, Director of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Theater and I began to love and study Armenian music thanks to him,” Leman Stehn said. The Turkish singer condemns the Armenian Genocide. “The authorities of the two countries [Armenia and Turkey] may be at odds, but our peoples are not guilty. I think we all need to stand up and fight, we should be on the side of truth.
