Deputy Speaker of Armenian Parliament receives Turkmen parliamentary delegation
On September 23, the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Eduard Sharmazanov, received the delegation headed by Deputy Speaker of Mejlis of Turkmenstan, Ms Gurbanguly Bayramova. Welcoming the guests, Eduard Sharmazanov highly appreciated the friendship between the Armenian and Turkmen people, noting that the multilateral relations between the two countries develop dynamically and mutually beneficial. Eduard Sharmazanov considered necessary the further rapprochement between the two parliaments, especially the interaction and mutual visits between friendship groups, experience exchange in various spheres. The NA Deputy Speaker touched upon the regional problems and expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for the balanced approach in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. He has emphasized once more that Armeniaexpects the settlement of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group through peaceful negotiations which can’t be said about neighbouring Azerbaijan .
