Barbell stolen from Mount Elbrus
Andrey Rodichev, President of the Powerlifting Federation of Russia’s Murmansk region, set a unique record at the end of August.
He climbed the highest mountain of the Caucasus- Mount Elbrus, with a 70 kg barbell and held it on his shoulders. Andrey Rodichev had to leave the barbell on the peak, as he was very tired and wasn’t able to take it with him.
But a photo has recently spread on the Internet, which clearly shows how a mountaineer with closed face is lowering the barbell from Mount Elbrus.
To note, barbells used in powerlifting are quite expensive, about 8000 USD, Fortunately, Andrey Rodichev took an ordinary barbell worth 1500 USD to Mount Elbrus.
