The works of Armenian photographer Rosanna Eisenmenger (Rosa Eisen), who lives in Germany, have been exhibited in the Modern Art Museum starting from yesterday. She has lived in Berlin for 23 years, but she always keeps in touch with the homeland. “I visit several times a year, there I implement projects relating to Armenian and Armenians,” she says. Mrs. Rosa has been engaged in art only in recent years. “For many years I worked at music newsroom of radio.  And in Berlin I worked at one of the best galleries- at “Bremer”. As a hobby I made collages in Yerevan, but I got seriously involved with art in Berlin.” cucahandes 1 The photographer has held many exhibitions in Germany, but it is the first one in the homeland. 60 works are presented: different fruits combined with the images of people. Asked whether fruits or people inspired her, Rosa answered, “Of course first of all a human. But the fruit is my hero. I don’t look at the fruits only from the point of view that they are tasty and juicy. I try to find symbolism in them.” Mrs. Rosa tells that in Germany she is often asked why her photos are colorful, “I say, I cannot give up it, as I took the color and light from Armenia to gloomy Berlin: Germany is beautiful, but the sky, the nature are gloomy. I bring and share light with my photos. She takes fruits from shop to her house not for eating, she makes compositions and takes photos. By the way, the photographer doesn’t use nay technical means, in particular photoshop. cucahandes 2 Besides, she stresses the importance of cultural projects implemented in Berlin and connected with our country. “Germans are shooting a movie about our duduk, I work at that group. We were in Yerevan on April 24 connected with the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. We also met with our master Jivan Gasparyan,” she said. The photographer is impressed with Yerevan exhibition, “It has been warm, friendly. I am flattered and grateful.” On November 20 her regular exhibition will be held in Berlin.
