“People urgently learn to swim in Azerbaijan”: specialist on Azerbaijani studies
“Shant 2015” military exercises are being held under the conditions of resumption of war, said specialist on Azerbaijani studies Grigory Ayvazyan today during the interview with the journalists and added, “Now there is a positional war, which has been periodically held for a long time. It isn’t accidental that those military exercises are being held at present. Now there is quietness in the Armenian side, yet there is a chaotic situation in the Azerbaijani side.” He thinks that every day we must be ready for a war, but there is other situation in Azerbaijan, “So much has been spoken about the resumption of the war, that the people of Azerbaijan don’t believe the promises of Aliyev. They have reached a hot point in the front, they have troubles with time and smelling the first gunpowder, there is panic in the Azerbaijani side.” According to the reliable information of Mr. Ayvazyan, at present in Baku there are activities for searching shelters from bombings, “Also they are urgently learning to swim so that they can run away via the Caspian Sea. And we must be waiting for the resumption of the war at any moment. In fact the ceasefire has been violated. No one will tell you honestly when the war will resume. We must start training also in Yerevan, must look for shelters. I don’t think that our people are so coward that they will panic when hearing about war. Our people don’t want war.”
